What is a Co-Op?

What is a Heating Oil Co-Op?

A cooperative is an autonomous association of persons united voluntarily to meet their common economic, social, and or cultural needs. CECI Oil is a cooperative which purchases #2 heating oil for homeowners, community organizations, and businesses in Westchester & Putnam County.

What do we value?

CECI Oil Co-Op is based on the values of self-help, self-responsibility, democracy, equality, equity and solidarity. In the tradition of its founders, cooperative members are encouraged to believe in the ethical values of honesty, openness, social responsibility and caring for others.

What are our principles?

These are the guidelines by which we put our values into practice.

Voluntary and Open Membership: CECI Oil is open to all persons able to use our services and willing to accept the responsibilities of membership, without gender, social, racial, political or religious discrimination.

Education and Information: The Co-Op provides education and information to our members to empower them to make the best possible choice for their heating oil supply and home service

Concern for Community: A Co-Op works for the sustainable development of their communities through policies and programs that help to save individuals money and support the communities in which they live.

CECI Oil is a NOT-FOR-PROFIT organization. We charge only the cost of oil, transportation, and the overhead of our small two-person office located in Mount Kisco, NY. This is how we are able to keep our #2 oil prices consistently below average Westchester County pricing day after day, for the past 40 years!

Price Per Gallon: 6/12/25 - $3.059
